Born and raised in New York City, Adam received a BFA from Alfred University and an MFA from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. He has studied under such notable glass artists as Jeremy Lepisto, Deborah Horrell and Jiyong Lee. In 2007, he conducted his post-bach work at Tsingua University in Beijing, China under Professor Wang Zhang Zong. Cohen currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington.
Adam owns a fabrication studio in downtown Los Angeles called Second Best Studio. He is the lead resource for all needs kiln casting and is dedicated to creating finely crafted objects for artists and designers.
